I don't know who thought this up but the far right side lane is now used to pass.
This is very dangerous because it is also used by everyone getting on of US 19.
In the past the right lane was a slow lane designed to make sure people didn't get killed on the road.
At some point some genius decided there were enough people in Pinellas and some had to go!
Another crazy thing about the 8 lane mess are all the cross streets.
People try to safely cross over 4 lanes of high speed traffic here, many don't make it.
Since the seatbelt law was change and now the sheriff can tag anyone they are. All state and county law enforcement are out giving fines to everyone they see for not having a seat belt on. The fine is over $100 and that's how the state and local counties are going ad money to their coffers. They plan to victimize the residences, raise money for themselves and all the name of safety. They are going to protect you from you and get your money! Be careful on the streets. I've seen lots of folks getting tickets in the last few days in Pinellas.
The crazy thing is motorcyclist still don't have to wear a helmet!!!!! People in cars pay if they don't wear a seatbelt.
Talk about stupid laws.
