treasure hunting game. What is geocashing? It’s the process of finding cache that folks have hidden. You find the caches using your GPS hand held device. Geocashing gets you out of the house and

and sign up, it cost nothing unless There are good benefits to purchasing the membership but it isn’t necessary to start. Type in the zip code of the area you want to
search. When you sign up to use the website you will see the GPS coordinates. Type the coordinates into your GPS and you’re ready to start the game. Be careful about entering the numbers into your GPS it’s easy to make a mistake. Make sure that you read about the caches you’re
going to The more you know the easier it will be. You can learn if the item is a large box or a small micro cache. You can find out if the cache is on the ground or up in the air, hanging from a tree etc.. Set the GPS to show you the way to the new coordinates and you’re off. Bring a pen to sign the log book. Some times there isn’t a pen or pencil and you need to sign the log. Looking for the cache; As you approach the area where the cache is be discrete so that folks in the area don’t see what you’re doing. You don’t want to give the cache away to people that aren’t involved in the game. Get the cache and move to another spot to look through the box. You can talk a treasure and/or leave something.
